The Greater East Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GEARSEF) is a regional affiliate fair of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the world's largest international pre-college science competition.

STEER fellows will bring their lesson plans to the next level by mentoring student research projects for a science fair. These science fair projects provide students an opportunity to use their creativity and imagination when designing a research project. Members of the Warner Lab will establish regular meetings with STEER fellows and their students to provide continued guidance. Teacher fellows will receive an additional stipend for the student they mentor.
