Student-Teacher Education in Ecological Research (STEER) is a summer fellowship program that trains teachers and students to implement the scientific method using ecology-based studies so that teachers can better engage their students in the process of science. Specifically, teacher fellows will:
STEER is a program organized by the Warner Lab at Auburn University, and is a collaboration among scientists, teachers and students. STEER integrates programs within the Auburn University Museum of Natural History, College of Sciences and Mathematics Outreach Office, and the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity. STEER is funded by a CAREER grant from the National Science Foundation. |
